“Zipper” of luggage materials

The zipper is the most
difficult and most expensive accessory in the production of luggage. Jona

making zippers. The cost of these brand zippers is much higher than that of
inferior craftsmanship, and the degree of bite is moderate, while inferior
zippers are prone to fading, zipper teeth are broken, zipper heads are loose,
and other bad conditions.

·The
composition of the zipper

The zipper is mainly
composed of three parts, the zipper, the slider and the pull card. Both sides
of the zipper are generally made of nylon, and the “zipper teeth” in
the middle are mainly divided into “plastic teeth” and “metal
teeth”. It is composed of sliders, chain teeth, locking parts or upper and
lower stops. The key part is the fastener element, and the side pull strength
of the zipper is directly determined by it. Therefore, in general, the zipper
has two pieces of chain belt and each piece of chain belt has a row of fastener
elements, and the two rows of fastener elements are staggered with each other.
The fastener elements on both sides are held by the slider, and the fastener
elements on the two sides can be disengaged or engaged with each other by means
of sliding pull tabs.

·How to
identify the quality of zipper

1. Check whether the
“zipper teeth” have fallen off.

2. Pull the slider several
times to see if the connection between the slider and the zipper is smooth.

3. After tightening the
zipper, bend a part of the zipper, and the strength can be a little larger.
Check whether there are cracks (zipper teeth) while bending, and five cracks
are better.

4. Look at the connection
gap between the pull card and the slider. If the gap is large, the pull card
will easily break off from the slider.

of zippers

1. According to the material

Nylon zipper, resin zipper,
metal zipper.

1. Nylon zipper: invisible
zipper, heart-through zipper, adhesive waterproof zipper, non-through-the-heart
zipper, double-bone zipper, braided zipper, etc.

2. Resin zipper: gold
(silver) tooth zipper, transparent zipper, translucent zipper, animal luminous
zipper, ray zipper, diamond zipper.

3. Metal zipper: aluminum
teeth zipper, copper teeth zipper (brass, cupronickel, bronze, red copper,
etc.), black nickel zipper.

Second, according to the
structure

Closed zipper: The rear yard
is fixed and can only be opened from the front yard. When the zipper is fully
opened, the two chain straps cannot be separated by the rear code. Suitable for
ordinary bags.

Open zipper: the lower gear
is fixed by a pin, the upper gear is fixed by two gears, and the slider is
pulled from bottom to top.

Double-opening zipper: There
are two sliders in opposite directions. After the sliders are pulled to both
ends, the zipper is closed, and the upper and lower teeth are fixed with two
blocking teeth.

O-type zipper: There are two
sliders in opposite directions. The slider is pulled to the middle and the
zipper is closed. The upper and lower teeth are only fixed by one blocking
tooth.

Hidden zipper: There is a
hidden zipper on the reverse side, and a hidden head zipper with a wide cloth
edge.
